Today I am so thankful:
- For the prayers of the saints, for the sweet Epaphrases that God has brought into my life! (“Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.” Colossians 4:12)
- For Wal-mart, because I learned yesterday in Bible study that we are supposed to replace grumbling with gratitude. Instead of complaining about going to the store, which I hate doing, I will say that I am so happy that I have a Wal-mart to go to, a car to take me there, and money to buy what we need. I’m so glad I don’t have to kill a chicken.
- For literacy. I was just thinking about what a blessing it is to be able to read the Word of God and to process it by writing it down and writing about what the Lord is saying to me through it. I can’t imagine who I would be if I couldn’t read and write. What a privilege we have in America that everyone has the opportunity to learn to read!
